Here in the middle of the year 2021 there are new releases of G-Shock squares for the Japanese and European markets. I will tell you about all of the new functions and features for these updated versions of watches which have already been around for several years. The new, updated watches include the GW-5000U, the GW-M5610U and the GW-S5600U. The new watches use Module 3495. Detailed instructions are available on the Casio website. The older versions of these watches were available beginning in 2011 and they use Module 3159.
The main features in all versions of these watches are Tough Solar (to charge the battery almost effortlessly), Multiband 6 (to keep the watch accurate by automatically receiving “atomic time”) 20 Bar water resistance, World Time mode, 5 alarms plus an hourly chime signal, a stopwatch which can track up to 24 hours, a countdown timer up to 24 hours and an automatic backlight. The new “U” versions add a bit more to the list of functions and features too.
