I like watches. But I really like military-styled watches...especially those paying homage to watches that were built for purpose during the bleakest of times. The Thorn A11 36mmTitanium Field Watch Ref no SHY034 is one such watch.
This watch builds on the style of the A11 watch produced towards the end of WWII and was famously used on D-Day to co-ordinate and execute battle plans accurately. We have all seen the war films where the infantry synchronise their watches..they probably wore an A11 watch!
The Thorn SHY034 is a well made and characterful watch in titanium with a Seiko NH35 automatic movement at its heart and it also has 200m of water resistance.
The high double domed Sapphire crystal is a lovely piece of glass and has a clarity seldom seen at this price range.
