The island of Flores is the westernmost point of the Azores Archipelago and of the European continent. Flores is about 15 miles from Corvo. The two islands make up the western group of the archipelago.
Characterised by a heavily indented and extremely rugged coastline, Flores is an island of water: waterfalls, lakes, streams and rocks provide unforgettable views and experiences, which seem to concentrate within themselves all the natural beauty that is scattered across the other islands of the Azores.
The highlights include: Cascata do Poço do Bacalhau, Poço Ribeira do Ferreiro, Rocha dos Bordões, Caldeira Funda, Lagoa Negra, Lagoa Comprida, Lagoa Branca, Lagoa Seca, Lagoa Rasa and Faja de Lopo Vaz.

Flores, charakteryzująca się mocno surową i nierówną linią brzegową. Ocean, wodospady, jeziora, strumienie, skały oraz klify zdają się skupiać w sobie całe naturalne piękno rozsiane po innych wyspach Azory.
