I just received my new sky glass TV yesterday, and after seeing so many reviews of people slagging the unit off, I was intrigued.....turns out, the majority of people just didn't know how to set the darn thing up properly....the standard settings it comes with out of the box, isn't it's best, and isn't it's Optimal settings.......
to make your sky glass loom as good as mine does, you need to go to settings, then to picture settings, and turn OFF auto backlight, you will notice that this doesn't change anything, to unlock the full brightness potential of the TV, you need to go down to backlight, and select it, you'll see it's on 100 but due to the auto backlight setting still being in effect, even after turning it off, what you need to do is turn it down to 99, and you will see the brightness suddenly become much much much more pronounced, then you can turn it back up to 100.
once you have done this, you will have unlocked the full brightness potential of the TV....after, make sure that local dimming is turnt on.
once completed, these will be your new custom settings and when you watch TV, you'll see that it'll be the HDR TV that you have brought.
thanks guys, if you need any help with any other settings, just comment in the comment section, and I'll gladly reply with any other questions. I have my TV fully set up now, and it looks absolutely great, the brightness and pictures quality is beautiful!
