A report by human rights defenders is pushing for a number of reforms in different areas which directly impact on political participation and and the country's electoral processes. Among the recommendations is the withdrawal of the military from all electoral processes and the reigning in the Uganda Communications Commission, which has been accused of overstepping its mandate. The human rights defenders fear that if the recommended reforms are not put in place, the 2021 elections could be tainted by irregularities. Jackson Onyango has more#NTVNews
