How to remove the arbor in order to install a new style arborless trimmer head onto an older Ryobi or Homelite straight shaft string trimmer that was equipped with an arbor type head. Note: This technique will not work with curved shaft string trimmers. Tools need: Two 16mm wrenches or adjustable wrenches.
