In september 1991 the Metropolitan Opera celebrated it's 25th anniversary at Lincoln Center by performing three different acts from a selection of popular Met productions. In the final act (act II of Die Fledermaus) Barbara Daniels performs "Klänge der Heimat, Ihr Weckt Mir das Sehnen".
We also see Hermann Prey as Gabriel von Eisenstein and Anne Sofie von Otter as Prince Orlofsky.
James Levine is conducting.

The idea behind these clips was to provide a High Quality clips on YouTube. Unfortunately the YT encoding creates an artificial noise in the peaks. I hope you still can enjoy this. The Source for this video was a DG laserdisc.
The release on DVD is planned on May 3rd 2010.
