0.21 You use the FUE method. How does it work?
0.25 The FUE technique works in this way, that you come for the operation and you can have breakfast and feel good and then we shave the side of your head and with very small punches we take away the grafts. And at the recipient area, we create some small slits and in these slits the small grafts will be put in.
0.50 Does it hurt?
0.52 The local anasesthetic hurts like a small anaesthesia at the dentist. It’s not much but you feel it a little bit but then, the treatment, you will never feel.
1.02 How long does the treatment take?
1.05 It’s a very specialised technique so it’s roundabout five to six hours.
1.11 Are there any breaks?
1.13 You have some breaks – to refresh yourself, have a coffee or to say ok I don’t want to see those people anymore [laughs] and then you come back and again be refreshed.
1.23 How does the hairline look with FUE?
1.26 For us, it’s very important to have a ‘no hairline’ hairline. Nobody has a ‘puppet’ hairline, like point to point in a row so we have a very diffuse hairline and that’s very natural.
1.40 How densely do you pack the grafts?
1.44 Normally we have a density of forty to sixty grafts in one square centimeter.
1.50 OK, each graft can have more than one hair, is that right?
1.54 We have different types of grafts. We have single-hair grafts in the first row in the hairline for a natural look. And then two rows after the hairline we have two- to three-hair grafts for more density.
2.08 What percentage of the grafts do you think will survive?
2.10 Hairs are really good stuff to treat. It’s roundabout ninety to ninety-five percent.
