In this video I make my own DIY frame for stretching a canvas that is already painted. Stretching a canvas is expensive to pay a professional to do, but it is not that hard to stretch your own canvas onto a homemade wood frame.

I use a glued and nailed half lap joint on the corners of the frame, but a bridle joint is also a very good option for making canvas frames.
A hand-operated staple gun will work for this project, but a pneumatic staple gun is much easier to use.
The canvas pliers are not totally necessary, but they make it a lot easier to stretch the canvas tightly.
