Shifting from Fukuyama Anchorage to Berth
about One hour shifting. Harbor speed 8 to 7 kts
when abt 1 mile from berth gradually reduced speed to 3 kts.
Approach to berth, parallel vessel to the berth with a clearance distance from berth about
5 cables.
Once November Flag abeam on your bridge wing Let go port achor n engine on slow astern
to stop headway.
After dropping anchor send forward spring to mooring boat for first line ashore.
When fwd spring line secured to berth pick up slack n Ask After Tug to positio Nine Oclock n start pushing the vesel towards berth.
Control the bow approach to the berth by adjusting windlass brake. After Tug ask her to push or pull to control Astern approach to the berth. Once the vessel parallel to the berth n about 40 meters. Use only Fore n Aft mooring lines to alongside the vessel slowly n safety.
