Laws looking to protect one's religious liberty continue to cause tensions between conservatives and progressives. Most recently, Georgia Governor Nathan Deal vetoed an ‘anti-LGBT’ bill largely as a result of high-profile companies and organizations, such as Disney and the NFL, threatening boycotts of the state. To what extent should religious institutions and organizations, or religious beliefs in general, influence public policy?
