I recently did an install from the beginning. Steps:
1. Ensure 7 Days main install, via the Properties/betas tab (select 7 Days in the steam list/right click/properties/betas tab) is the version for UL being downloaded (20.7 for UL 2.6x as stated when downloading it), then copy full 7 Days folder (without any pre-existing Mods folder) to another area than where the default 7 Days is installed. After the copy has been completed, you can revert the main install back to curent (select None under betas tab).
2. Go to ul.subquake.com/download ... Select 'latest stable' .. then click the (Mirror) download link and download the .zip
3. download or use winrar from [ Ссылка ] and open the mod zip with it. I've been told 7zip also works, but haven't verified, as I do not use it.
4. double click inside of the UndeadLegacyStable-main folder to see full list of files/folders inside.
5. select the first file/folder in the list, then using the mouse while holding shift, select the last one.
6. While still holding shift, left click and drag from the last file and move them to the folder where 7 Days is. The root folder, not in to a mods or other folder.
7. Run 7dLauncher.exe in the copied 7 Days folder where the mod is, and ensure that the option to Use EasyAntiCheat (EAC) is not selected (box next to it). I also deselect GameSparks (Has to do with Epic Games compatibility). Then click the Run & Save as default box below.
8. Start a new game and under World, select New Random World (important). Typically make it 8k in size. Enter whatever you feel like for the seed, set your preferred options in the menus to the right, and then click the Start box.
For future loads, run 7DaysToDie.exe directly, from the mod folder, or from steam if you add it. Note that this did not cover adding it to steam as a non-steam game as shown in the later part of the video. The main point in doing that is so that it continues to track gameplay time, and allows screenshots via the F12 default. As far as I know, the steam overlay (friends/chat view etc) does not function while in the mod.
