1. Begin the heel by knitting half of the stitches on the needle.
2. Turn the work and purl back to the center of the heel.
3. Wrap and turn the next stitch, then knit back to the center of the heel.
4. Wrap and turn the next stitch, then purl back to the center of the heel.
5. Continue wrapping and turning until all the stitches are wrapped.
6. Knit across the wrapped stitches, picking up the wraps as you go.
7. Turn the work and purl back across the wrapped stitches, picking up the wraps as you go.
8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 until all the wraps have been picked up.
9. Knit across the heel stitches, then pick up and knit stitches along the side of the heel.
10. Knit across the instep stitches.
11. Pick up and knit stitches along the other side of the heel, then knit across the remaining heel stitches.
12. Begin knitting in the round again.
