13 MINUTES OF NIGHT STREET PHOTOGRAPHY IN DHOBY GHAUT, SINGAPORE (POV)

Night street photography can be challenging and requires one to slow down. Shutter speed will be close to the minimum required for stable handheld shots, ISO will play a significant role in getting a well-exposed image, the aperture will almost be wide open to compensate for the lack of light, and far more important is what we visualize to compose an image. I am primarily a black and white photographer, and therefore a higher latitude of usable images because color noise would not be present and will just look like every other noise. In certain cases, adding an artistic value to the image. I am not often shooting in low-light situations throughout my experience in photography, it often is the lighting condition I crave with portraitures, creative light photography, panning shots, bokehlicious shallow depth of field shots, and cityscape.

This video was a challenge to shoot the 24mm wide-angle prime lens at night until the battery runs dry. The streets of Dhoby Ghaut were pretty quiet after a late afternoon rain.

Images in the video are all edited. Apologies for the grammar and stutters, I haven't made videos with dialogues for ages. :')
