Nikko Toshogu Shrine is a magnificent Shinto shrine located in the city of Nikko, Japan. It was built in the early 17th century and is dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate that ruled Japan for over 250 years. The shrine complex features a stunning array of intricate carvings and decorations, including the famous "Three Wise Monkeys" that embody the principle of "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil." The site also includes several other buildings and structures, such as the Yomeimon Gate, which is considered one of Japan's most beautiful gates. Nikko Toshogu Shrine is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a popular destination for both Japanese and international tourists alike.
