A California Highway Patrol officer is in critical condition after being hit by a driver early Sunday morning in south Sacramento while investigating an earlier crash that killed a bicyclist. The suspected driver who hit the CHP officer was arrested on suspicion of DUI. Officials are still searching for the driver in the earlier crash that killed the bicyclist.
