Bootstrap Island is a brand new VR survival game that will test your survival skills to the limit, this new PC VR game really doesn't hold players hands AT ALL! In Bootstrap Island you wake up stranded on a beautiful but deadly island and it's up to you to figure out how to stay alive; you need to hunt for food, find a source of water, decide to explore inland or stay on the beach, craft a fire and round up whatever weaponry you can find to protect yourself before the sun sets and the monsters start to hunt you. This is an intense VR survival game mixed with VR roguelike elements, it's designed to be played in short intense sessions and rewards you based on how long you can survive, so if you want a better shot at exploring the whole island you'll first need to survive on the beach for as long as possible. For a small indie developed VR title Bootstrap Island has some gorgeous visuals, not the best VR graphics I've ever seen but certainly impressive, especially considering how well the game runs and how optimised it is, with full DLSS support even in early access.

All Bootstrap Island VR gameplay was captured using a Quest 3 connected via cable to a 4090 VR ready PC, the game isn't available on Quest 3 / Quest 2 standalone and does require a PC to play.
