A study conducted by Dr. Keith Yeates of Nationwide Children's Hospital showed that one out of every four children who had suffered a concussion had significant post-concussive symptoms. Sometimes these symptoms can persist for as much as a year after the initial incident making it difficult for doctors to know when a patient is truly recovered.
