I have always been a fan of the hero's journey. Having something happen that you are forced to go out of your comfort zone so that you can overcome that new challenge that has presented to you.

That is the case for Earthbound. A meteor falls. A boy meets a powerful bug from the future. it tells him about three boys and a girl who will save the world from a doomed future. And so he goes, fights foes, and goes on an adventure to save the world.

Sounds similar to other stories, but Earthbound has just a unique quirkiness. A weirdness that makes the game charming. It has some vibes that you will only experience here. From the look and personality of its characters, to the music of the game.

If I were to make an RPG game, Earthbound would definitely be one of my biggest references.

Onett is the first map where our adventure begins, and you can already feel these fun, quirky vibes. One of my favorite games of all time, that I must admit have never completed. Maybe someday I will do an Earthbound playthrough and post it so we can experience it together.
