The number 1 reason I made YouTube my main platform has everything to do with my personal life and having little time but wanting a lot and if that sounds familiar to you give this video a thumbs up and keep watching.
I didn't like Youtube at all 5 years ago. Ugly design, egotistical videos, and I thought my target audience didn't go there, because I found them on Linkedin and Instagram and Facebook. That turned out to be different. Since I made the switch to youtube everything is better, I have more fun, more sales, more clients and I can easily get away from it all if I want to. Away from the hamster wheel of posting every week or every day. How do you do that? I tell you my strategy and why it works so well.

YouTube has something that social media does not. Videos on YouTube remain easy to find, even after weeks and years. That means the time you spend on a video for YouTube is never wasted hours.
And I, as a single mom, entrepreneur, trainer, coach, and videographer usually have more to do than create new content all the time and post it everywhere. Therefore, I do create content, but I use it smartly. And my base is always YouTube. That's where I post everything first, and that's where I’m found by people who have never heard of me so far.
I choose YouTube as the first place to post because people don't have to follow you to come across your videos. And I thought that my target audience didn't come to YouTube, but I was wrong; YouTube is the second most popular video platform in the world after Netflix: everyone with a screen end up there at some point, and if they don't; they'll find your YouTube videos through Google.
My strategy? I post new videos weekly (but not when I'm on vacation). I share the video in my newsletter and on social media. The scripts I write for my videos later become posts on social media as well. And recently, I started making short versions of my videos for Shorts, Tiktok and Reels. So the script I wrote once, results in multiple videos and text on all platforms. That's why I can easily close the door for a while every vacation: I stay easy to find by people looking for help making videos for their business.
If you're only on social media, well, you stay busy. And if you don't post anything, during your vacation for example, you will be invisible there. Maybe you know this already, but you think: I really can't manage another channel, it's already so much work.
That's why I'm making this video: to tell you that instead of more work, it's better to work smarter. Not more videos but posting your videos on YouTube and sending people from all those other social media to your YouTube channel. People used to say: put the horse before the wagon and not behind it. And now I say: don't do more work, do it smarter - from a place where your video doesn't disappear from view.
