San Francisco's Coit Tower is an integral Part of San Francisco's culture since 1933. The tower is fabulous, but it is no match for the 27 murals inside. These were painted by the top muralists of the 1930s, and represent the lifestyle of people of the depression era. You can view the murals for free and enjoy the grounds. It is a nominal fee of $10 to walk the stairway to the observation deck. There you have some of the best views of the City. Be sure to take your camera.
