In this video I put my A7iii against my A7iv to compare the AF in video between the two camera bodies.
I am using the kit 28-70mm lens that came with the A7iv (accidentally ordered the wrong one) since I have never tried out this lens before to see how it compares to something like my Tamron 28-75 f2.8 lens.
The A7iii has good AF but due to the lack of real-time eye AF in video like the A7c on shallower depths of fields it tends to lose track of the subject. However on a kit lens like this where the F stop range is 3.5 to 5.6 I never really saw any issues with the AF between the two systems. I think the only benefit to video on the A7iv will probably be noticed when I use lenses below F2.0.
