Singapore has passed changes to laws governing parliamentary and presidential elections. Special polling arrangements will be piloted at about 25 to 30 nursing homes for this year's presidential election. About 2,000 nursing home residents will be able to vote without leaving the premises. Minister-in-charge of the Public Service Chan Chun Sing said this aims to enhance voter access, in light of Singapore's ageing electorate. He also outlined the process for overseas postal voting. Changes were also made to the laws to ensure election advertising supports informed voting.
