Following knee arthroscopy, typical recovery goes like this. We encourage you to walk right away, specifically if we did not repair or reconstruct your knee. It is important to get it moving right away and return to your activities as soon as possible. This could be as early as two, three, or even four days. Typically after seeing you back in the office 9 to 10 days after surgery your walking well, your swelling is controlled, and you can already see the light at the end of the tunnel. Six weeks after surgery we will allow you to return to all of your activities. That may include running, jogging, football, softball, tennis, or even golf. Remember our goal is to get you back in your game.
