Timothy Olyphant special guest stars in The Grinder's Thanksgiving episode (Season 1 Episode 8 "Giving Thanks, Getting Justice") as (a fictionalized) Timothy Olyphant.
Air date: November 24, 2015 @Fox
Tim consoles Dean Sanderson (Rob Lowe), who has problems with his old TV show's "The Grinder" director, Cliff Bemis (Jason Alexander) who kept on demanding shooting shirtless takes. This scene takes place a year earlier than the current events.
Part 2: [ Ссылка ] - Timothy Olyphant as Rake Grinder
Tim, enjoying his first post-Justified TV role describes his casting experience in (Canada's) National Post:
"Jake Kasdan, who was an executive producer on the show, described a scene I could do for a day. I showed up, I did it, and by lunch, I was like, “Well, what else do you have for me? We’re doing more, right?” One scene turned into a string of episodes. I had such a great time over there, it had me itching to do some more comedy on a regular basis."
Olyphant as "himself" is in a total of 4 episodes (8, 9, 10, 13), with the final episode's plot being a showdown mock trial between him and Rob Lowe's Dean Sanderson.
Tim previously worked with Jake's dad, Lawrence Kasdan in Dreamcatcher (2003). Tim would work with The Grinder co-stars Mary Elizabeth Ellis and Natalie Morales in Santa Clarita Diet (2017-2019).
