Reaction Engines update 2021. Starting out with a bold plan for a Hypersonic airliner 'HOTOL' that could fly from the UK to Australia in a couple of hours. This project was cancelled. They moved on to 'SKYLON' a Single Stage to Orbit space plane. This became un-economic. Now with their SABRE hybrid air breathing engine, with its unique Inter Cooler system, Reaction Engines have partnered with the UK and USA military. In 2021 'REL' have apparently become a Defence Contractor as well as a supplier of advanced engineering solutions. Prof Simon reveals the ups and downs of this journey into space and beyond.
