Jessica had been suffering with chronic jaw pain and constant headaches behind her eyes for 5 years. Things seemed to worsen over the past year. It got to the point to where she was eating more soft foods and could not eat any meat. If she did, she would pay for it for about 2 days with horrible jaw pain. She also had a lot of jaw popping and clicking every time she would open her mouth.

She had orthodontics done in middle school and into high school to give her straight teeth and a nice smile. Jessica had teeth removed and wore braces for 6 years. She was on several different medications given to her by her MD for the pain. She was on pain killers, muscle relaxers and antidepressants. She was told that she was just stressed and that nothing could be done for her. She found it hard to function on all of these medications.

Jessica was referred to Dr Raman by her physician. She had no social life. Prior to her treatment with Dr Raman, she was just going to work and then home to bed. She came in for the initial evaluation and chose to move forward with a series of diagnostic Neuromuscular testing. Once her optimal jaw alignment was diagnosed, Jessica was fitted with a fixed Neuromuscular orthotic for 90 days.

Jessica said that within 1-2 weeks with the orthotic treatment, she could already tell a difference in her pain level and within 3 days she was weaning herself off of all the medications.
She was treated with physiologic neuromuscular functional orthodontics as phase 2 of her treatment. Then Jessica chose to have porcelain veneers done for a great smile. She recently got married to Brian and said that it would have never happened if she was still in all of the pain that she used to be in and on medications.
