A quick overview of what a MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) Sensor is and what it does.
A MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor detects the absolute Barometric pressure change in the manifold.
The MAP senses the vacuum change in the intake manifold and sends the information to the onboard computer (ECM/PCM) which uses the information for the fuel injection volume.
Symptoms of a Bad MAP Sensor:
Check Engine Light On
Poor Fuel Economy
Lack of Power
Rough Idle
MAP Sensor OBDII Codes:
P0105 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Malfunction
P0106 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Range/Performance Problem
P0107 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Low Input
P0108 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
P0109 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Intermittent
