RDI took data on a rolling steel mill from up to 30 ft away. The steel mill was experiencing costly product quality issues that it could not easily solve. The equipment was large and outfitting it with sensor would have been time consuming and costly. The company featured contacted RDI to help them solve their problem, and they were able to find out with a series of a few videos that their dampening system was not functioning properly. During scheduled maintenance they were able to apply a temporary fix and increase product quality until an outage could be scheduled and a permanent fix could be put in place.
