In response to the surge of COVID-19 cases due to the delta variant, Northeast Ohio school districts, businesses, and other institutions have put mask mandates back into place.
Many schools had initially made masks optional for this fall, but some are now reversing course and asking all or most students to wear them, particularly those under 12. Mentor, Chagrin Falls, and Nordonia are among the districts reversing course, often over the objections of some parents.
