So I recently decided to revert back to a more traditional amp + pedalboard setup after having spent four to five years using a Fractal Audio Axe-Fx II Preamp and hardly buying anything gear-related other than strings and cables in that time.

Here's why I chose to do that, as well as some tips on how you should organise your pedalboard to optimise it for performing live.
