Hi Guys, I hope you are having a great summer! In this video I am showing you an easy way to make blackberry cobbler. We have wild blackberries growing all over our farm, so we have this treat often during the summer.
Wild Blackberry Cobbler
4 cups clean blackberries
1 3/4 cup sugar
1 stick of butter
1 pie crust (You will need a top and bottom crust.)
Wash your blackberries and add them to a pan on the stovetop with about 2 cups of water in it. You will want the burner on high. Add blackberries, butter and sugar to pan. Stir. Let berries boil for about 10 minutes then remove from heat. Carefully mash your blackberries.
Crust - My grandmother always made homemade crust, but I cheat and buy a box of Pillsbury Pie Crust. It is good, just not as good as grandmoms.
Your pie crust needs to be room temperature. Spread one layer of crust out and add to a baking dish. Spray dish with cooking spray before adding crust. Poke holes in crust with fork. You will want your oven on 350 degrees. Cover the bottom crust carefully with blackberries. If you don't want as much juice, now is the time to take some out. Next take the top crust and cover the blackberries. Remember to poke holes in it with a fork. Bake at 350 until the crust is the desired color. Mine took about 37 minutes to bake. Everyone's oven is different. Check on your cobbler often.
We love to add a spoonful of butter on each serving. Enjoy!!!
Thank you for watching. God Bless
