When do we stop using oral contraceptive pill it's also called OCP ?One could be because of to prevent pregnancy. Second maybe because they would want certain homonal imbalances to set right in especially in cases of irregular cycles and other medical indications where a contraceptive pill would be advised. Now when do we stop this and from when can you actually try for pregnancy? The moment you stop the contraceptive pill the next cycle onwards you can go ahead and try for pregnancy. The contraceptive pill will not have a future effect or an additive effect especially in the fertility when you're trying for pregnancy subsequently. So it is quite safe to take it provided you know you undergo all the tests and there should not be any family history of cancer or there should not have any uncontrolled sugar and BP and then any kind of blood clotting factors in the past. So people who don't have this are safe to go ahead on contraceptive pills. Once you stop the very next cycle you can go ahead and try to conceive.
