I install an Android 9.0 based head unit into my 335i Coupe. My car never had iDrive, and I've always wanted some sort of screen. You have to cut into the dash, which is a pretty scary thing to do, but I think it is worth it in the end. It makes the interior look more like an F chassis BMW. AVIN USA, the company that makes this unit, also makes a unit for vehicles with iDrive, although the screen may be slightly smaller in order to fit into the housing.
