The Maharashtra government issues show-cause notice to 4 private hospitals in Mumbai, who were allegedly flouting the 80:20 formula related to COVID-19 beds. The State Health Minister Rajesh Tope visited these private hospitals for a surprise check and revealed the truth. While speaking to Mirror Now, he said strict action will be taken against those flouting the norm. Notices are issues against famed hospitals like Jaslok, Lilavati, Hinduja and Bombay. Private Hospitals are resisting the government’s efforts to treat maximum COVID-19 patients and prevent the pandemic curve. The Maharashtra Government is already facing an enormous and colossal crisis from the pandemic.
