Explosive shaped charges are a great way to put holes in metal with minimal effort. We use them all the time here at Ordnance lab for various projects. A question gets often asked: what is the ideal stand off distance?
We made a #shorts video showing a comparison of stand off distances of various lengths and their penetration abilities. This isn't the end all of comparisons, but it does a great job of showing how stand off distance affects penetration depth.
