So the Blues have returned to our Cobham training base to begin their preseason preparations. The squad were put through their paces by new head coach Enzo Maresca at our Surrey training base with a double session the order of the first day back at Cobham . Our Italian coach worked in detail surrounded by his assistants including former Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero as he looks to develop and mould his squad ahead of our opening Premier League game against Manchester City on Sunday 18 August
Among the players involved were involved were familiar faces like Reece James Levi Colwill Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku while Tosin Adarabioyo and Kiernan Dewsbury Hall were among the new signings who also took part in the sessions. There was also the welcome sight of Wesley Fofana and Romeo Lavia Involved with the group. Both players were long-term absentees last season for the Blues due to injury.
