Amazon has said it will enhance offerings to onboard local SMEs in Singapore for the global market. Amazon's new office, which spans 100,000 sqft across three floors at Asia Square, will house its consumer business and corporate teams. It aims to add to its headcount of about 2,000 by creating more than 200 new jobs. Trade and Industry Minister Gan Kim Yong said this reflects Singapore's position as a regional technology hub. SMEs are estimated to make up 45% of Singapore's online retail exports. Amazon expects this market to grow to $3.5 billion in 2026 from $1.4 billion.
