If you've watched my previous videos, you know the choice to palm roll my microlocs was very deliberate, and a large part of why I started this channel. For a while, I seriously considered switching to the interlocking method, especially because I work out a lot and I wanted the freedom to wash my hair. However, in the time since I filmed this video, I decided the extra time and money for interlocking wasn't worth it. I tend to rely on updos that protect my roots while I wash my hair, and that's good enough. The main downside is I don't get to wear my hair down as much. I'm also getting more comfortable doing my own hair, and that's also been helping. Partial retwists, where I just do the first 4 or so rows of my hair go a really long way!
