A Middle Eastern Cuisine
Ingredients:
For Spices - Mix
Cummin Powder - 1TBS
Red Chilly Powder - 1TBS
Black Pepper Powder - 1TBS
Coriander Powder - 1TBS
Jaifal Powder - 1TBS
For Tomato Puree
Bay Leaf - 2
Cinnamon Sticks- 2
Onion Chopped - 1
Tomatoes - 3/4
Ginger -Garlic Paste - 1TBS
Vinegar - 1TSP
Soaked Rice - 2 Cups in 4 cups of water
Lentils - 1 Cup
Boiled Chick Peas - 1 Cup
Elbow Pasta (Macroni) - 1 Cup
Fried Onions - 1 Cup
Spices Mix:
In a bowl, add Cummin Powder - 1TBS,Red Chilly Powder - 1TBS
Black Pepper Powder - 1TBS, Coriander Powder - 1TBS,Jaifal Powder - 1TBS. Mix Well
For Tomato Puree
In a skillet, add oil - 1tbs, add chopped onion, saute it, add Ginger- Garlic Paste, add spices mix - 1TBS, add tomatoes puree, add 2 cups water, cover it with a lid, let it cook for 5 mins.
In a skillet, add oil - 2TBS, add soaked rice, stir it till brown add spices mix -1TBS, add water - 4 cups, bring it to boil, Rice in spices are cooked, mix the lentils.
Place the rice mixed in lentils on a plate, add elbow pasta over it, cover it with chick-peas over it, pour the tomato gravy over it, top it up with fried onions.
