Fish Curry with Coconut Milk / Kerala Style / Side dish for Plain Rice and Chapati
Ingredients:
Fish - 500g ( after cleaning )
Coconut oil / Oil - 2 to 2 1/2 tbsp
Fenugreek seeds - a pinch
Small onion - 10 ( big size )
Chopped onion - 2 tbsp
Curry leaves
Crushed ginger - 1 tbsp
Crushed garlic - 1 tbsp
Green chilli - 5
Tomato - 1 ( medium )
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Kudampuli ( Malabar Tamarind ) - 2 piece
Hot water - 11/4 cup
Salt
Curry leaves
Thick coconut milk - 1 cup ( 250 ml )
Roasted fenugreek powder - a pinch
Fresh coconut oil - 1 tsp
