In West Texas, one rural community has been transformed by solar.

Listen to local community members and the men and women working to bring the Galloway 2 Solar Project to life on how the project is creating meaningful and lasting impacts in their town, businesses and livelihoods.

The project is creating over 250 high-quality jobs and will generate over $18 million in local property taxes. More than half of this funding will directly benefit the nearby Paint Rock Independent School District, located just a few miles from the project site. This is Avantus’ second utility-scale project development in the Paint Rock area. Together, these two projects are providing tens of millions of dollars in local tax revenues to the County, spanning the next few decades.

Once completed, Galloway 2 will generate low-cost clean electricity to provide power for 60,000 Texans and reduce CO2 emissions equivalent to removing more than 45,000 cars off the road.
