Erin O’Toole will replace Andrew Scheer as the new leader of the Conservative Party. O’Toole defeated three other candidates in a count delayed by several hours because of a glitch with envelope-opening machines. He now has a month to prepare for the next parliamentary session and the possibility of a snap fall election.
