FTII has recently made headlines for various reasons. From students protest to Gajendra Chauhan’s controversial statements, now in a shocking turn of events veteran actor Anupam Kher, has now replaced Gajendra Chauhan as the chairman of FTII.
Gajendra Chauhan, known for playing Yudhisthira on the TV serial Mahabharata, was appointed as the chairman of the Pune-based institute's governing council last month.
Since then, his appointment has been severely criticized by current and former students of FTII, who feel that Chauhan lacks 'stature and vision' to head the institution.
Well, whether Anupam Kher’s appointment will bring more change in the institution only time will tell.
