# 1. JUMPING UP
In the world of Dog Training I often here the word Dominance thrown around loosely. Typical bratty behaviours in dogs is often mislabeled as the dog being Dominant, so I am putting together a series of videos dispelling these myths and explaining them for what they truly mean.
The videos will contain the occasional swear word so if you are easily offended by the odd swear word then I apologise but views discretion is advised.
In this video I talk about Jumping up and explain why dogs Jump up and how you can help prevent this. Jumping up has nothing to do with Dominance nor does it mean the dog does not respect you if he jumps up. Jumping up is a behaviour dogs normally learn as a puppy and it is reinforced by the handler (either knowingly or unknowingly) giving them affection for it.
If you have heard of silly Dominance myths and would like us to talk about that specific subject then please comment below.
