Two homicide victims, Kathleen J. Henry and Veronica Abouchuk were murdered in the Anchorage, Alaska area. Other than being indigenous women, the two victims didn't have anything else in common, until Brian Smith picked up a sex worker.
When he left her alone in the cab of his truck, she stole an SD card out of his camera. She was horrified when she looked at the contents of that card. It was pictures and video on a woman being beaten and then strangled to death.
Four years later, Brian Smith is now on trial for the murder of Kathleen Henry and Veronica Abouchuk.
