How to make jar spaghetti sauce taste homemade. Hey guys today I’m going to show you a quick jar spaghetti sauce hack I’ve been using for years. With a few simple ingredients you can make your jar marinara sauce taste like it’s homemade in under 30 minutes. I use two jars of budget friendly sauce. One pound of ground beef and one pound of ground Italian sausage. I like to use onions, bell peppers and fresh basil. I also use spices like onion powder, garlic powder and Italian seasonings. I add in one can of whole peeled plum tomatoes. Brown meat along with onions bell peppers and garlic. Once meat is cooked all the way through and vegetables are tender add in sauce and tomatoes. Turn down low and simmer covered for fifteen minutes. Remove lid add in fresh basil. Cover and simmer for another fifteen minutes. Enjoy immediately with your favorite pasta or allow to cool completely and freeze for later.
