What to do if Your Business Partner does not agree to your Idea

👉🏼 Co-Founder conflict is the biggest reason for startup failures, and just shooting down your partner's new idea or aggressively debating it may not be the most ideal way to deal with it

👉🏼 In a lot of cases, people maintain a firm stand on what according to them is the best course of action, and they may be looking for external validation than genuine advice on whether an idea should be pursued or not. If you debate or deny, they may still go ahead and do it.

👉🏼 One way to deal with this situation may be to agree with them on short term milestones to be achieved for the new idea - that should be met successfully within the next say, 2, 4 or 6 months... then the idea would be either pursued or dropped.

P.S. I'm not a conflict expert. This is just something that we've used in discussion with Founders and Business Partners to help iron out decisions on way forward.
