The Supreme Court on Wednesday heard oral arguments in the Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case, which challenges the constitutionality of the 2018 Mississippi law banning abortions after the first 15 weeks of pregnancy.
Justice Sonia Sotomayor challenged Mississippi Solicitor General Scott Stewart about even taking up and overturning precedents that have been set by both Roe vs. Wade and Casey vs. Planned Parenthood. She said this case poses a threat not just to reproductive rights but to the Supreme Court itself.
