Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka, a controversy is resurfacing concerning the caste survey. The socio-economic and education survey report, known as the caste survey report, was submitted to Chief Minister Siddharam Maiyya by the Chairman of the State's Backward Classes Commission, K. Jayaprakash Hegde. This survey, covering over 13 million households and 59 million residents, was commissioned in 2015 during Maiyya's first tenure. The report has sparked controversy over alleged disputes concerning the numerical strength of Lingayats and Bokaligars, the dominant caste in Karnataka. #Karnataka, #CasteSurvey, #Controversy, #LokSabhaElections, #SocioEconomicSurvey, #EducationSurvey, #ChiefMinister, #SiddharamMaiyya, #BackwardClassesCommission, #JayaprakashHegde, #Lingayats, #Bokaligars, #DominantCaste
